Mustangs Finish Seventh At NCAA South Central Region Championships
Four SMU runners post personal records

Nov. 13, 2010

WACO, Texas (SMU) - The SMU cross country team finished in seventh place Saturday at the NCAA South Central Region Championships. The 6k run was hosted by Baylor University at Cottonwood Creek Golf Course.

Individually, Mary Alenbratt led the Mustangs coming in 12th place out of 125 runners with a time of 21:03.9. The sophomore bested her previous record by 25 seconds.

The Red-and-Blue had three finish in the top-50 overall with Monika Korra (34th, 21:32.3) and Aasha Marietta (48th, 21:45.1) following Alenbratt. Both Korra and Marietta posted personal records today.

Freshmen Klara Bodinson (Personal best - 21:58.4), Lovisa Lindh (22:40.4), Caitlin Keen (23:22.1) and Catriona McClowry (23:27.3) also competed for SMU in their first South Central Regionals.
