Men's soccer gets fifth seed, hosts Sunday night

The SMU men's soccer team (15-2-0), which enters the NCAA Tournament as the fifth seed in the nation, will host the winner of Creighton and New Mexico in the second round at 7 p.m. Sunday night in the tournament's second round.
Head coach Tim McClements and seniors Kekoa Osorio and Craig Hill visited Monday with PonyFans.com to discuss their reactions to the seedings and what they need to do in order to embark on a successful postseason run.

Maybe. William & Mary has to play the winner of Princeton and Maryland-Baltimore County. I don't know anything about UMBC, but Princeton is always pretty solid.
If we play William & Mary, maybe we could get mentioned on the Daily Show. Jon Stewart played soccer at W&M, I think.

I'm pretty sure he did as well. I'd bet if W&M made it to the finals, he'd be wearing their sweatshirt. W&M is about the same size as SMU in student body size (even though its a state school). Here was his take on the new W&M mascot. Truly classic Stewart.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves, though. New Mexico and Creighton are always good. Hope they go to double overtime Thursday and wear each other out.

Singapore Management University does not have a football (soccer) team. They do play cricket.

Looks like its a rematch. Creighton is up on New Mexico 3-0 in the first half. Crazier things have happened but don't see New Mexico coming back on these guys.
