Congratulations to a great player and a great Mustang.
Best of luck in MLS. Always good to see another Pony in the pros.

My prediction and I hope I am wrong. Practice squad this year and then drops down to the MLS 2nd division, which I believe is now called the NASL (North American Soccer League) Lots of MLS draft picks playing there.

NASL? Isn't that the name of the old league with the New York Cosmos, Dallas Tornados, Washington Diplomats, etc.?
Good luck in Seattle, Leone!

Puerto Rico Islanders has been around the 2nd division for awhile. Former SMU All American Jay Needham was drafted by DC United and ended up with the Islanders where he was rookie of the year in 2007. The son of a good friend of mine was All American in college, drafted by FC Dallas, played on the practice squad for a year and then went on to star for the Islanders. Only a small number of college stars make it in the MLS or the first divisions elsewhere. I believe Needham is playing for a pro team in Austin at present.
