Track: Ayla Gill Named C-USA Athlete Of The Week

IRVING, Texas (C-USA/SMU) --- After posting an impressive outdoor season debut, SMU's Ayla Gill<http://onlyfans.cstv.com/schools/smu/sports/w-track/mtt/gill_ayla00.html> has been named the Conference USA Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week. Gill recorded a winning toss of 61.70 meters (202-5') in the hammer throw, a mark that ranks fourth in the latest Track and Field Results Reporting System.
Gill captured a first-place finish in the women's hammer throw at the TCU Invitational in Fort Worth, Texas last weekend. She recorded a winning toss of 61.70 meters, a mark that ranks fourth in the latest Track and Field Results Reporting System and beat the field by more than 10 meters. This is Gill's first career outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week honor.
The Mustangs return to action this weekend by participating in both the Stanford Invitational and the Mean Green Invitational. SMU will compete in Stanford on Mar. 25-26 and nearby Denton, Texas on Mar. 26 for the North Texas hosted event.
