Don't forget the No. 15 SMU Mustangs are in action Sunday at Kentucky with the classic start time of 11am Central.
The regular season conference race is unfortunately out of the question at this point for SMU, but we still have two games to get tuned up for the conference tournament.
Also, don't forget to vote for Adam!
Go Ponies!

Underway in Lexington...
The six teams who will qualify for the C-USA tournament have already been decided, it's just a matter of playing for seeding at this point. UAB and South Carolina seem to be in pretty decent position to get the byes into the second round.
Updated standings through last night's action:
1. 16 (5-1-1) UAB
2. 15 (5-1-0) South Carolina
3. 13 (4-2-1) Marshall
4. 12 (4-3-0) Memphis
5. 10 (3-2-1) UCF
6. 10 (3-2-1) SMU
----
7. 5 (1-5-2) FIU
8. 3 (1-5-0) Kentucky
9. 3 (1-6-0) Tulsa

One of their guys intentionally took out Ibarra. There was a lot of pushing and shoving going on afterward with Ibarra on the ground. He's back up now though.

2-0 Kentucky at halftime.
It would have been nice to get one before the half, but hopefully playing a man up for the final 45 minutes will give SMU the chance to get back in this one.
SMU is up in shots 8-5, but only one of our shots is on frame. Kentucky only has two shots on goal and obviously both of them have found the back of the net.

SMU really putting a lot of pressure on Kentucky offensively early in the second, but still down 2-0.

At the hour mark, SMU now leading in shots 13-5 and shots on goal 4-2. SMU also with a 6-0 advantage in corners!
Kentucky has picked up two yellows in the second half as well, but the score is still 2-0...

Well I think we can safely stop with the "this team is [u]way[u] better than last years team" talk. This group is good, but they still haven't found their identity and for some reason lack the scoring punch that they had last year. I still believe they can make the tourney and go deep, but somebody is going to have to step up and be the leader these next couple of weeks or this will be a lost season.

Hoping for a big comeback, of course, but if we do lose, there's a silver lining: I'd rather see UAB or South Carolina in the first round than UCF.

So Ibarra got run over, Derschang got beat up, Kalis and Barnes have played 39 minutes between them. Hard to play short-handed.

2-0 final. Shocking, actually.
SMU ends up with a shot advantage of 18-7 and a shot on goal advantage of 6-2. SMU also dominates corners 8-0.
Castillo and Ivo each with six shots.
Any idea why Robles played the second half? Was Ibarra shaken up from the red card incident?
