Men's Soccer - SMU 2, Memphis 1

SMU plays the final home game of the year Friday night against Memphis. Starting time is 7pm.

Friday night will be special since it is Senior Night - the fantastic senior class of Arthur Ivo, Diogo de Almeida, Adam Still, Ian Kalis, Payton Hickey, Ryan Rosenbaum, and Joe Cooper will be honored.

The Mustangs really really need to win this one. Our rankings are still pretty decent, but if we end the regular season on a three-game losing streak it certainly will not look good to the NCAA tournament selection committee.

The conference is really tight from third place through sixth place. Securing three points at home tomorrow night will go a long way to a decent finish in conference.

3. 13 (4-2-1) Marshall
4. 12 (4-3-0) Memphis
5. 10 (3-3-1) UCF
6. 10 (3-3-1) SMU

Marshall still plays UCF Saturday as well.

I read your (DanF) comments about the seniors on the women's team, and what an outstanding class that is. They're great, but I would contend that this class is even better, especially DeAlmeida, Ivo, Still, Kalis and Hickey, who are fixtures in the lineup. I sure wish we had another year for all seven of them. Kick some Memphis Tiger tail, guys.
