IRVING, Texas (SMU) - SMU senior Aleksandra Malyarchikova was named September's Conference USA Tennis Athlete of the Month. She went 7-0 in doubles and 4-0 in singles in September.

Malyarchikova went 7-0 in doubles and 4-0 in singles in September. In singles, she won the top bracket of the Texas Invitational, winning all four matches in straight sets. In doubles, she partnered with Edyta Cieplucha to win the doubles title. The pair won 32 of 42 games in the Texas Invitational, including an 8-3 win over the ITA's 18th-ranked tandem from Texas. That duo followed up by winning three pre-qualifying matches to advance to the qualifying round of the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships.
