No. 14 SMU is on the road at Memphis Friday night at 7pm - with a live broadcast on Fox Soccer!
The Mustangs (10-3-3, 6-1-1) are in position to win the C-USA regular season title and clinch the top seed in the conference tournament next week. This game is the final regular season game for SMU.
Memphis (6-6-3, 2-2-2) is currently fighting to get into the conference tournament. The Tigers are in action Wednesday night at home against UAB.
With the SMU-Memphis game being moved up to Friday night for television, Memphis will only have one day of rest which in theory should help SMU.
Current C-USA standings:
1. 18 (6-1-0) SMU
2. 13 (4-1-1) Kentucky
3. 13 (4-2-1) Tulsa
4. 12 (4-3-0) UAB
5. 9 (3-3-0) UCF
5. 9 (3-4-0) Marshall
--------
7. 8 (2-2-2) Memphis
8. 4 (1-5-1) South Carolina
9. 1 (0-6-1) FIU
UCF is at Kentucky tonight as well, so it is possible SMU will have first place locked up by the end of the evening.
Go Ponies!

1-1 Memphis ties with a good movement and bad defense.

Both goals from very nice passes to players virtually unmarked around 6 yards out...

2-1 final. No big deal as far as C-USA goes but not good for the RPI...

Worst goal kick I think I've seen in men's soccer that caused the goal. We still should have won or equalized. Had 3 great chances. About had to throw a shoe at the tv with those announcers.

I heard that when Sherrod made his second goal he shouted "Scattershooting while wondering what happened to SMU's defense..."
