Three Mustangs Looking To Qualify For NCAA Indoor Championships At Last-Chance Qualifiers
Murphy, Chin Competing At Notre Dame, Kalu At LSU This Weekend

Three Mustangs will have opportunities to qualify for the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships (March 8-9) with solid performances at last chance qualifying meets this weekend. Elizabeth Murphy and Rayann Chin (weight throws) will head to the Alex Wilson Invitational hosted by Notre Dame, and Stephanie Kalu (60 meter dash) is traveling to LSU for their event on Friday.
Murphy currently has the nation's 21st best distance in the weight throw, recording a 20.34 meter toss at the SPIRE Invitational on Feb. 8. Chin impressed at the Conference USA Indoor Championships last weekend, posting a distance of 19.67 meters, 39th in the NCAA.
Kalu has been strong in the 60 meter dash all season, including posting a time of 7.37 at the Howie Ryan Indoors on Jan. 25. That time is the 26th fastest in the country.
