Re: Men's Swimmng off to Nationals in IndianapolisThese are a couple of fantastic spilts on the 200yd Medley Relay. Remember the backstroke time is true because he is leading off. Amazing.
INDIANAPOLIS (SMU) - On day two of the NCAA Championship, the SMU men's swimming and diving team came into the meet seeded twenty-ninth and moved up seven spots to finish twenty-second in the 200-yard medley relay. Sophomore Matas Andriekus led off with his fastest backstroke ever (22.5). Senior Mindaugas Sadauskas didn’t just anchor the relay, but he swam a blistering 19.06 which ended up being the fourth fastest freestyle split of the preliminaries. Sophomore diver Devin Burnett finished nineteenth in the country in three-meter diving with 342.75 points. The Mustangs wrap up the NCAA Championship Saturday with preliminaries beginning at 10 a.m. Pony Up

INDIANAPOLIS (SMU) - On day three of the NCAA Championship, the SMU men's swimming and diving team finished thirty-fifth with eight points. In the preliminary round of the 400-yard freestyle relay, the squad of: Nicolai Hansen, Ryan Koops, Mindaugas Sadauskas, and David Larsson finished fourteenth. In the finals the relay team finished thirteenth with a final time of 2:54.09; this earned all four relay members All-America distinction. Mindaugas Sadauskas swam his fastest preliminary 100-yard freestyle (43.10) which earned him eighteenth place. Re: Men's Swimmng off to Nationals in IndianapolisJust missed probably having a top 20 meet on a couple of relays and individuals came close. Hopefully that will inspire everyone to work harder and come back next year stronger and faster.
