School Records, Personal Bests Set By Mustangs This Weekend
Freshman Skatteboe Scores Third-Best Time Nationally In 10,000 Meter Run

SAN FRANCISCO (SMU) - Freshman Karoline Skatteboe won the 10,000 meter run at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival in 35:52.91, the third-best time in the nation. Multiple school records and personal bests were also set as the Mustangs also competed at the Stanford Invitational and the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays this weekend.
Caitlin Keen finished fourth in the 10,000 meter run, posting the 13th-best time in the nation at 36:47.16.
The Mustangs' sprinters and field athletes participated in the highly-competitive Texas Relays. SMU's 4x100 meter relay team (Isis Wilson, Stephanie Kalu, Rachel Scruggs and Craishia Washington) set a school record and the 12th-best time nationally at 44.76, finishing sixth in the event. Helena Perez also set a school record in the shot put at 15.88 meters, the 14th-best distance nationally and good for sixth place. Lucija Cvitanovic placed sixth in the heptathlon, winning the javelin throw with a personal best distance of 46.57 meters.
At Stanford, Mary Alenbratt earned a personal best time in the 1500 meter run, crossing the line in 4:21.17, the second-best time in SMU history.
SMU's next event is the Mean Green Invitational hosted by North Texas on April 5-6.
