Nice Daily Campus artilce on Hyndman and our Men's Soccer program.

"In many ways, the soccer program that SMU has today is the “House that Hyndman built.”

“I planted Westcott field,” Hyndman said.

Keep in mind that there were two Westcott fields and oddly enough; Hyndman was at SMU for the construction of both."

Nice article. Thanks for sharing!

The new soccer stadium really should have his name - unless, of course, it's named for somebody who writes a check for it. :)

Here's the statement in the story that jumps out at me:

"My affection and my heart are with SMU, because really so many good things happened in my life while I was there.”

You're right, Dan - it would be totally appropriate to name a new soccer stadium after Coach Hyndman. I just hope we get a new soccer facility so we can have that debate.

Nice article--thanks for posting. I agree about the field's name. I remember when we went to the final four....I emailed Hyndman congratulating the team and wishing them luck and he sent the nicest reply of thanks.
