Sunday night is a big one. SMU hosts No. 11 Baylor at 7pm at Westcott.

The Bears are 3-0-0 after a 1-0 win at Washington in Seattle Friday night.

Baylor defeated SMU 2-1 in Waco last season with a heartbreaking 108th minute goal in double overtime. The teams also met this spring in Dallas in a heated 2-1 SMU victory.

Go Ponies!

Baylor 2, SMU 0.

Typical Baylor game with tons of fouls. SMU played pretty well. Baylor saved a PK. The second Baylor goal was late.

Baylor release:

I especially like:

"Recording her second straight shutout, BU goalkeeper Michelle Kloss (4-0-0) made two saves, including the play of the game in the 53rd minute. With SMU's Shelby Redman lining up for a penalty kick from the right side of the box from 15 yards out, Kloss jumped to her left and blocked away Redman's shot to the high right corner."

Baylor...

Wow. Just looked at the box score on Baylor's site. Fouls were 18-6 to Baylor. Shameful.

That is funny.

What am I missing? Redman tried a penalty shot to high right corner. Goalkeeper jumped to HER LEFT to block the shot. That is worded correctly is it not?

Their release says Shelby lined up for the penalty kick "from the right side of the box from 15 yards out" and not from 12 yards out in the center of the box where penalties are taken.

That's all.

I can just picture somebody reading it and thinking "no wonder she missed".
