W-Soccer: SMU vs. TCU

Undoubtedly the biggest sporting event in the Metroplex Thursday night will be the SMU-TCU women's soccer game. Kickoff is at 7pm at Westcott.

SMU is 26-0-2 all-time against TCU.

The Mustangs (3-3-0) continued the maddening trend of rocking lesser teams and losing close ones to similar teams this past weekend, with a 3-0 win at Davidson and a 2-0 loss at South Carolina.

While TCU (2-3-1) has appeared to closed the gap on SMU somewhat over the past year or so, they suffered a reasonably humiliating weekend with home losses to Illinois State (2-1) and North Texas State (2-0).

TCU is making some strides in recruiting with their move to the Big 12, so continuing to get results against them is paramount for SMU.

Plus, there is the little matter of SMU's 2-1 win in Fort Worth last year on a last second 30-yard goal from Shelby Redman.

This one is going to be great! Be there!
