Do we know the reason he is stepping down? I really don't follow FC Dallas so I am just curious.

Any chance he would come back to SMU?

I doubt he would come back, my guess is he takes another pro job or retires. And to be honest, I don't think he'd be what we need. He was very consistent here but never made it over the top. We need to go overseas and get a coach with links to a club in England. Just my two cents.

M-abu, we don't agree on a lot of things but this is one that I do agree with you. Although SH would be a massive improvement over what we currently have my issue with him was that we were never able to win it all, even though he came close.

A top English coach would be good if we could get one. I would also think a good South American coach might do well although the AAC style of play seems to be more physical and not typical of SA futbol.

I've always said soccer brings people together, lol. I think an English or Scottish coach would be perfect for the AAC with the added physicality. It would also make for a different type of soccer on display in the metroplex.

M-abu- off topic. I saw a few minutes of the ball handling skills of Ronaldinho when he was just a child (6-10 yrs)- absolutely amazing. A long time ago he did a video of his skills but had no idea he was that talented as a child.

Some of the skills that, especially South American, kids have are crazy. Ronaldinho is a wonderful technical footballer, just so natural.

On a related note, did anyone see the Arsenal goal last weekend that made SCs top 10? One of the best goals I have ever seen.

Forget the English, we need to bring this guy out of retirement: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alex_Ferguson

Stepping down because FC Dallas is way down the table.
