W-Swimming: Lifetime Best For Nicol

In case you missed it, junior Rachel Nicol had a lifetime best of 2:28.09 in the 200-meter breaststroke last night at the Austin Area Grand Prix.

Impressive time, especially when you understand that she swam 200 meters vs. yards.

Impressive time particularly considering that the SMU women's swim team primarily trains only in the short course 25 yard pool. Swimming meters or long course is a whole different program that requires vastly different training, strategy and experience.
