W-Soccer: 2014 Schedule

Postby DanFreibergerForHeisman » Fri May 02, 2014 7:34 am

The 2014 women's soccer schedule is online. Nice schedule with a big test at Nebraska and compelling home matches against BYU and Missouri.

Also, with the shuffling of travel partners it's good to see UConn and Memphis both coming to Dallas this fall.

Granted, Nebraska isn't really a Big Ten school, but this will be the first time SMU has played a Big Ten team since a 2-1 win at Purdue September 2, 2001.

SMU press release on the 2014 schedule:

http://www.smumustangs.com/sports/w-soccer/spec-rel/050814aaa.html

“It's a challenging schedule,” SMU head coach Chris Petrucelli said. “It starts with quality teams immediately and continues into the tough American Conference season. We play good teams at home and away. We're all looking forward to competing against a number of top programs. Our team will be stretched. However, we have confidence in the work we've put in since last season and the changes that have been made within our team. We're extremely confident that we can compete on the highest level and this schedule will give us the opportunity to prove it.”
