Stephanie Kalu advanced to the national semifinals in the 100-meter dash.

Tochi Nlemchi posted a personal best in the shot put but just missed qualifying for the NCAA championship.

Today Helena Perez will compete in the hammer throw, Lisa Egarter will compete in the high jump, and Agnes Sjostrom will compete in the 5000-meter.

Lucija Cvitanovic had already qualified for the NCAAs in the heptathlon before the preliminaries, so Cvitanovic and Tova Magnusson will represent SMU at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Oregon (June 11-14).

Congratulations to Lucija and Tova and good luck in Eugene!

SMU – The Mustangs, who won the Outdoor Track and Field Conference Championship, will send a pair of athletes to the National Finals. Lucija Cvitanoic, the Women's Field Most Outstanding Performer at the Conference Championships, qualified in the heptathlon, while freshman Tova Magnusson qualified in the 3,000 meter steeplechase.
