Nicol has also progressed to the finals of the 50-meter breaststroke tonight.

Senior Rachel Nicol found herself in a close battle and was narrowly edged out for the gold in the 100-meter breaststroke on night two of the Canadian Swimming Championships.
Nicol clocked in at 1:08.89, just behind Fiona Doyle who finished in 1:08.81, for the silver medal. The pair also went one-two in the prelims, with both improving their times in the final.
On night one of the Championships, Nicol earned a silver medal in the 200-meter breaststroke clocking in at 2:29.16. She outpaced Doyle, who finished fourth in the event.
