The members of the SMU women's swimming team had an amazing summer in events throughout the world.

SMU has provided a nice recap here:

Congratulations to all of these student-athletes on their accomplishments, and best wishes in 2014-15!

The season gets underway September 19 with the Blue-Red Intrasquad scrimmage at the Barr outdoor pool, with the first official event September 26 in Southlake at the UNT Relays.

Go Mustangs!

I agree. Impressive. I might add that it is global in nature too. The SMU brand is enhanced, as well. We have upside for the program and the university.

They have lots of americans - they are just not very good for the most part.
A new pool will make it much easier to recruit good Americans.

SMU has historically recruited overseas swimmers (and in Track & Field, for that matter). Beginning in the early sixties with South Africans and Rhodesians, we have enjoyed the contributions from Olympians from Brazil, Sweden and Czech Republic.

We have benefited from filling the talent 'pool', which has improved the performance and result for the entire team. When (if) we commit to the building of a new natatorium (TBD), our recruiting nationally and internationally will improve for Men and Women. Our legacy is rich, but we no longer can expect Top Ten Finishes, which were routine.

Anybody able to write seven figure checks for the program?
