SMU has its home opener Friday night at Westcott Field against Texas Southern at 7pm.

The Mustangs are coming off a rough opening weekend with losses at Nebraska and at Kansas - not to mention having both goalkeepers on the roster injured.

The Tigers are also 0-2-0 after suffering losses to North Texas and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi last weekend.

Go Mustangs!

SMU dominated the game and ended up with a 1-0 victory over TSU. It will be interesting to see the stats on this one.

Vanessa Valadez scored her first collegiate goal for the Mustangs, and midfielder Lissi Lonsberry played 90 minutes in goal and kept a clean sheet!

The Mustangs face Missouri Sunday night at Westcott.
