Y'all know Dave Hart is the AD at UT.
I'm not a fan of Beth Alford-Sullivan. She cut a few good recruits very early in their track careers. I'm not advising any track athletes to UT. I don't care what BAS's vision is for the future.
I really can't say here what I want to say but this story is making some news.

That woman will fail. Hope her contract is guaranteed. Heard she makes 200-300k/yr

I'm not gonna check but I was told she has a 4 year contract.

I was told by someone close to it who said that the girls were cut for money and BAS will attempt to bring in JUCO or foreign athletes that have marks that can score in conference with the idea to win now.

I guess we'll see.

Some believe recruits in nearby states to Tennessee will not go there.
There were better coaches to hire.

Sounds terrible, and I hope it impacts Beth Alford-Sullivan ability to recruit to her program. Student athletes sign a one year deal with their institution.

Would it have been better for Alford-Sullivan to wait until later in the year?
Would it have been better for Alford-Sullivan to wait until the student athlete's were sophomores, juniors, or seniors?
When is the right time to not resign a student athlete?

Does everyone understand this happens at almost every institution? And, yes it even happens at SMU!
