SMU hosts Central Arkansas Wednesday night at Westcott Field.

Seven of the eight American teams are in action Wednesday as the conference takes a break from conference play. With some big conference games looming this weekend, it will be essential for teams to not look past these midweek non-conference games - especially with rankings, RPI, and tournament seedings starting to become more important.

The Mustangs (7-3-1, 3-0-1) are on a seven-game unbeaten streak, and are now receiving votes in the NSCAA Top 25 poll (the new poll comes out Tuesday morning).

The Bears (2-8-0, 0-3-0 Missouri Valley) are having a rough season, although they only lost 1-0 to Memphis a couple of weeks ago.

Go Mustangs!

So, now that the Central Arkansas match is in the books, we can look ahead to the big game Saturday night.

No. 24 South Florida at No. 21 SMU. 7pm at Westcott.

USF defeated Denver 3-0 tonight in Tampa in their midweek non-conference match.
