Sophomore Agnes Sjöström represented SMU individually at the NCAA Cross Country National Championship today in Terre Haute, Indiana.
Sjöström finished 101 out of 253 runners with a time of 21:12.3 in the 6k race.

Sophomore Agnes Sjöström finished 101st out of 253 runners at the NCAA Championship on Saturday at the LaVern Gibson Cross Country Course in Terre Haute, Indiana.
The Köping, Sweden, native’s performance was an improvement of over 50 spots, as she finished 155th a year ago. Her finish was the best by a Mustang since Silje Fjortoft finished 13th in 2011.
Sjöström’s 6K time of 21:12.3 was just under two minutes behind the NCAA individual champion, junior Kate Avery of Iona, who finished the race in 19:31.6. Michigan State won the team championship.
