Will ours be the nicest facility in D1?

One of the nicest anywhere, so we are told. It will host professional tournaments (ATP), right?

Not enough seating to host major tournaments, but nice nonetheless.

They will cover two courts with grandstands for the major tournaments, giving them two practice courts and a center court.

Did we save the grandstand from the A&M game a couple of years ago?

A good disinfectant and they should be good to go.

Supposedly they designed it with the intention of having the exact same playing surface and surface speed as what is on the courts at the U.S. Open — the idea being that some of the sport's biggest stars might come to Dallas to train before the event.

I am looking forward to checking out the new tennis center.

The first home match is Jan. 30 against Sam Houston State.

Great idea!

I would be worried it would be awesome and they would double our price next year though. :)

Other than Grand Slams, I cannot remember seeing big tennis crowds at tournaments. It is all
about the television don't ya think?

I would be thrilled with any tournament here that can draw any of the top players in the world.
I really miss the WCT Finals, thank you Mr. Hunt for that great event.

The SMU men defeated UCSB 6-1 today in their first official match at the new tennis center.
