Lujano Named NSCAA Scholar All-America Second Team
Junior Was Also First-Team All-AAC, Second Team All-Region

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (NSCAA/SMU) – Junior John Lujano was named to the 2014 NSCAA Men’s Scholar All-America Second Team, the National Soccer Coaches Association of America announced on Wednesday.
Lujano, a junior from McPherson, Kansas, has a 3.70 grade point average and is majoring in Civil Engineering and Mathematics. On the field, Lujano was named to the NSCAA East Region Second Team, and was an All-American Athletic Conference First Team selection.
He started all 18 matches for the Mustangs in 2014, scoring four goals off of penalty kicks to tie him for first on the all-time SMU list for PK’s made in a season. Lujano helped SMU to a 10-6-2 record and an appearance in the AAC semifinals.
In three seasons with the Mustangs, Lujano has played in 55 games logging 4,761 minutes of action.
In addition, Lujano was also a selection to the All-South Region First Team.
