SMU Hosts Gauchos On Monday At 11 a.m. CT

DALLAS (SMU) – The SMU Mustangs men’s tennis team announced its 2015 spring dual match schedule on Monday, with the season starting Monday at 11 a.m. against UC Santa Barbara in the new SMU Tennis Complex on the corner of Mockingbird and the North Central Expressway.

SMU hosts five opponents in January, with a matchup versus No. 9 Texas closing the month at 4 p.m. CT on Jan. 31. The Mustangs will play seven ranked teams ranked in the initial ITA team rankings, including three in the top 25 – No. 9 Texas, No. 25 Oklahoma State (March 18) and No. 22 USF (April 3). All three matches will be played at the SMU Tennis Complex.

The Mustangs will finish the regular season with two home meetings with familiar rivals, hosting TCU on April 8 and Rice on April 12.

SMU is also hosting “Kids and Community Day” on Monday. Admission for all fans is free, and coaches in attendance can participate in a special post-match forum with head coach Carl Neufeld and assistant coach Kyle Spencer.
