Colt Knost 2015 seasonmade the cut in his 1st event - SONY Open in Honolulu and birdied the 1st hole today to move into 32nd place. Might earn a decent paycheck in his 1st effort this season
Re: Colt Knost 2015 seasonfinishes the SONY at 10 under which should be good for top 25 money
Re: Colt Knost 2015 seasonGreat start to the year for Colt, nice playing.
Re: Colt Knost 2015 seasonearned $68,444. Not bad for a week's work
Re: Colt Knost 2015 season
% to agent, % to coach, % to caddy, maybe some to a manager or other staff, plus pays for all his own bennies and travel, etc. but yeah, nice week for sure
Re: Colt Knost 2015 season
He'd be better off if the coach took an annual flat fee. Taxes, caddy and travel costs will take the biggest bites from that check.
Re: Colt Knost 2015 season
There was a great Forbes article about tour player finances a few years back. The big guys make tons but it's not an easy life for the journeymen at all.
Re: Colt Knost 2015 seasonIt's the same in tennis. Outside of the biggest stars it's tough to break even with all of the associated personal costs.
You have to give a lot of credit to the people doing something they truly love though. Shake It Off Moody
Re: Colt Knost 2015 seasonshot 5 under today to get to minus 6 and T-47 at Humana Challenge in La Quinta, CA. Will make another cut and earn another paycheck this week
Re: Colt Knost 2015 seasonthanks to an early start and being red hot today, Colt is at 16 under through 10 holes (6 under today) and only 2 shots off the lead at the Humana
Re: Colt Knost 2015 seasonone off the lead now.. Having a great back 9
Re: Colt Knost 2015 seasonrolled 9 under today to finish at minus 19; was briefly the leader in the clubhouse, but quickly de-throned. Should be close to a top 10 finish and a six figure check for this week's effort. Keep it going, Colt. Looked like he may have shed a few pounds during the brief off season
Re: Colt Knost 2015 seasonHumana finish was T-10th worth $136,800
Re: Colt Knost 2015 seasonnice start for Colt at the Farmers Open with a 3 under opening round
Re: Colt Knost 2015 seasonand Colt makes another cut; holding at 3 under, 7 shots off the lead as weekend play begins at the Farmers Open
