Swimming And Diving Teams Named CSCAA Scholar All-America Teams
Programs Earn Recognition For Third Consecutive Year

DALLAS (SMU) -- The SMU men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams were both named 2014 Fall Scholar All-America Teams by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), the organization announced on Tuesday.

The Fall Team Scholar All American award, supported by Nike Swim, is presented to college and university swimming and diving teams, who have achieved a grade point average of 3.0 or higher in the fall semester/quarter.

The men’s team, under the guidance of head coach Eddie Sinnott, qualified with a 3.30 GPA, the 14th-highest of any Division I program. The women’s team, led by head coach Steve Collins, had a team GPA of 3.44, which is tied for 33rd in all of Division I.
