M-Soccer: SMU vs. UCF

The Mustangs (6-2-2, 1-0-0) get back to American conference play Friday night at Westcott Field against Central Florida.

The Knights (3-4-1, 0-0-1) started conference play with a 2-2 draw at Memphis. UCF fell 2-1 to Florida International Tuesday in a non-conference match.

SMU defeated UCF 2-1 to move to 7-2-2 overall and 2-0-0 in American play.

Mauro Cichero scored both goals for the Mustangs.

American standings through tonight's action. Wednesday opponent Memphis defeated Connecticut 1-0 tonight with a goal in the second overtime.

Another good week for the Mustangs, as Mauro Cichero was named American offensive player of the week and Emil Cuello was named American rookie of the week.
