M-Soccer: SMU at Akron (NCAA Sweet 16)

After a thrilling second round NCAA Tournament win at Denver Sunday, the No. 11 Mustangs head to Akron to face the No. 5 Zips in the third round Sunday afternoon. Start time is 3pm Central.
SMU is now 15-2-4 overall. After their win over Rutgers in the second round Sunday, Akron enters this match with a 16-3-2 record.
SMU is 1-2-0 all-time against the Zips. The most recent meeting was an exhilarating 3-2 Akron win in the second round of the NCAA Tournament at Wetscott Field in 2011.

That 2-3 against Akron at Westcott was such an amazing match.
I hope we get them back Sunday.

The own goals cancel each other out. SMU has been sloppy and sluggish on the counter. Need some magic to get 2 goals in the second half.

With Akron dominating the second half. SMU's keeper, Nelson, has kept SMU in it without a doubt.
