I know very little about NCAA soccer, but was thinking of going to the game on Thursday evening.
Notice that SMU was #10 in last coaches poll and they just won their conference tournament.
How do 16 teams get a first round bye in the NCAA tournament, but the #10 team (SMU) has a play-in game?
Is this just like the NCAA Basketball tournament where the NCAA just screws with SMU whenever they can get a chance to do so?
Also notice that we are ranked AHEAD of Georgetown in the coaches poll - why do we play at their house/pitch?
Appreciate any commentary on this matter so that I can be informed and complain about the right things when I am at Thursday's game
