Women's Swimming And Diving Named CSCAA Scholar All-America Team
NORFOLK, Va. (CSCAA/SMU) – The SMU women's swimming and diving program continues to excel in the classroom, earning College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of American (CSCAA) Scholar All-America team honors for the second time this season.
To be selected as a CSCAA Scholar All-America Team, programs must have achieved a grade-point-average of 3.00 or higher over the spring semester.
The Mustangs posted a 3.53 GPA, improving on the 3.50 from the fall semester.
The team was also one of two SMU programs, joining men's tennis, to earn NCAA Public Recognition Awards for academic excellence after scoring in the top 10 percent of their sports in the most recent Academic Progress Rates (APR). Following the 2017-18 season, the program was additionally honored as the top performing women's team at SMU with a 3.537 GPA during the spring and fall semesters of 2017.
The CSCAA will announce its individual Scholar All-Americans next week.
