Women's soccer falls at No. 18 Texas

Mustangs Fall At No. 18 Texas
AUSTIN, Texas (SMU) – The SMU women's soccer team fell 6-0 to No. 18 Texas at Mike A. Myers Stadium on Sunday, moving to 2-2 on the season.
Graduate Senior Samantha Estrada tallied 10 saves on the night. The El Paso, Texas, native notched her season save total to 22 and upped her saves-per-game average to 5.5.
Texas scored two goals in the first half on penalty kicks. The Longhorns went on to score twice more before the break, marking a 4-0 halftime score.
Senior Leah Chancey and freshman Emma Alvord both recorded shots on goal for the Mustangs.
The Mustangs allowed two more goals in the second half in the 72nd and 89th minutes.
SMU returns to the pitch on Thursday in Waco, Texas, to face Baylor for its third consecutive match on the road. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. and will be available to live stream on ESPN+.
