No. 40 men's tennis falls at Tulsa

SMU Falls At Tulsa
Tulsa, Okla. (SMU) – The No. 40 SMU men's tennis team fell to Tulsa 4-1 on Monday night at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
"You either win or learn," Head Coach Grant Chen said. "Tulsa played a great match and deserve tons of credit. We will get better and be prepared to compete this weekend in the conference championships."
With the loss, SMU fell to 17-9 on the season and 5-1 against American Athletic Conference opponents.
For the fifth consecutive match, SMU earned the doubles point to jump out to a 1-0 lead.
Maks Silagy and Julian Steinhausen struck first for the Mustangs with a 6-2 victory on court three. Trevor Svajda and Louis Cloud clinched the doubles point and picked up their second straight win and eighth of the season with a 6-3 victory on court two.
The Golden Hurricane scored four straight singles points to seal the victory.
SMU returns to action at the AAC Championships Thursday-Sunday in Tulsa.
