Below is a video from NBC/DFW highlighting a trio of Mustang Swimmers on their record season and qualifications to U.S.A. Olympic Swimming Team Trials in Indianapolis this month. Also, a big shout out to their Head Coach, Greg Rhodenbaugh, and Asst. Keith Dawley, as SMU Swimming returns to prominence and a Top 25 NCAA Ranking.

Good luck and Pony Up!

Nice write-up. We're back. Hope we can keep moving up. Always been proud of the SMU swim team since back in my college days...

Thanks, AusTxPony,

I agree we are progressing and have greater possibilities. To be fair, we still have a long way to go. Our recruiting and team depth needs to improve beyond our recent improvements. We have a great HC in Greg, who is able to develop swimmers after they arrive. Our move the ACC is another plus, but conference competition just multiplied many folds.

Our new goals include being a Top Ten program, which will require time and talent; but at least we can see a future which was beyond our reach before the new aquatic center with its two Olympic pools and new leadership.

There was a nice shout out last night on the NBC trial coverage about SMU when doing a piece about Nic Fink with his wife Melanie who is an SMU swim team coach. She was also wearing a SMU triple D shirt.
