Four Mustangs Record Multiple Wins, No. 24 SMU Falls To TCU On The Road
FORT WORTH, Texas (SMU) – The 24th-ranked SMU men's swimming & diving team won a total of eight events as the Mustangs fell to TCU on the road on Friday evening at TCU Recreational Center.
Jack Hoagland, Jack Forrest, Luke Sitz and Sage Sungail all recorded multiple victories for the Mustangs during the meet.

Notable Results
200 Medley Relay
The Mustangs squad of Jack Berube, Joe Rusnock, Russell Exum and Sage Sungail touched the wall in 1:28.00 to claim second. Two other SMU teams placed fourth and sixth, respectively.
1000 Free
Claiming the first victory of the evening for the Mustangs, Jack Forrest threw down a time of 9:07.45 to take first on the podium. Laszlo Galicz earned a mark of 9:12.37 to place third, while Mark Van Eybergen was right behind him with a fourth-place finish after tallying a time of 9:25.23.
200 Free
The 200 free saw another win for SMU, as Jack Hoagland earned first with a time of 1:36.40. Jack Moore joined him on the podium with a time of 1:38.92, and Chris Mykkanen came in sixth with a mark of 1:40.64.
100 Back
Jack Berube touched the wall in 49.02 to take fourth, Eric Stelmar saw a time of 49.34 in his Mustang debut to place fifth and Russell Exum came in sixth with a mark of 50.43.
100 Breast
Earning a spot on the podium, Joe Rusnock notched a mark of 55.40 to take third. Angus Corbeau recorded a time of 55.84 to claim fourth, while Kristaps Mikelsons touched the wall in 55.93 to earn fifth.
200 Fly
Cotton Fields saw a time of 1:47.31 to take second, while Ryan Peckham touched the wall in 1:48.37 to earn fourth. Also competing in the event was Nico Sobenes, who notched a mark of 1:50.79.
50 Free
Sage Sungail put the Mustangs back in the win column with a time of 20.16. Lance Butler placed fifth with a mark of 21.16, and Michael Ripper saw a 21.21 time to finish sixth.
3-meter Diving
Continuing his success this season, Luke Sitz won the event with a score of 383.60, while John Dymond took third after scoring 333.00.
100 Free
Picking up his second win of the meet, Sage Sungail threw down a time of 44.66 in the event. Michael Ripper (45.85) placed fourth and Chris Mykkanen (46.38) earned sixth.
200 Back
Cotton Fields earned second with a 1:46.60 result, while Jack Berube joined him on the podium after touching the wall in 1:47.70. Eric Stelmar was right behind the pair with a time of 1:48.71, good for fourth.
200 Breast
In his second event of the evening, Jack Hoagland touched the wall in 1:59.08 to take third. Angus Corbeau earned a time of 2:00.15 for fourth, and Kristaps Mikelsons joined them in the event with a 2:02.19 time to claim fifth.
500 Free
Jack Forrest recorded a time of 4:27.27 to earn his second victory of the meet in the 500 free. Laszlo Galicz took third with a mark of 4:31.98, while Harold Lockhart touched the wall in 4:32.97 to claim fifth.
100 Fly
Russell Exum saw a time of 48.49 to place third, while Leif Bouwman finished in 48.70 to take fifth. Nico Sobenes tallied a mark of 49.82 to place sixth.
1-meter Diving
Winning his second event for the third consecutive meet, Luke Sitz recorded a score of 379.95 to narrowly take first. John Dymond also saw action in the event, placing fourth after earning a score of 322.88.
200 IM
In the final individual event of the night, Jack Hoagland threw down a time of 1:45.75 to earn his second victory. Jack Moore joined Hoagland on the podium after recording a time of 1:48.25.
400 Free Relay
The Mustangs' team of Michael Ripper, Jack Hoagland, Jack Forrest and Sage Sungail led the way for SMU with a third-place finish after recording a mark of 3:03.13. Another SMU relay earned fourth place after finishing in 3:05.99.

The Mustangs enjoy nearly a month-long break before they return to action on November 20-23 at home to host the SMU Invite. The teams participating in this year's Invite are Hawaii, Drury, UC Santa Barbara and top-10 ranked Stanford.
