SMU Volleyball Enters Top 10 in AVCA Poll

DALLAS (SMU) - SMU Volleyball climbed two spots, cracking the top 10 in the AVCA/TARAFLEX Division I Poll, coming in at No. 10 this week.

No. 10 is the highest ranking in program history. SMU Volleyball's previous highest ranking was No. 12, a spot the Mustangs' held for the last four weeks.

The Mustangs swept Virginia Tech and Virginia over the weekend, hitting .353 as a unit. SMU now has swept 11 opponents this season, three of them being ranked opponents.

SMU Volleyball will host Duke on Friday, Nov. 8, at 7 p.m. CT for the first of four straight at Moody Coliseum.

If I had bothered to look at the schedule, I was an hour outside of Charlottesville, this weekend.

It is kind of crazy that we are 10th in the nation and tied for 4th in the conference.

A few weeks ago, men's soccer was No. 10 in the country and No. 5 in the conference.

The ACC is an incredibly strong conference across many (most?) sports.
