Sparks, Chambron Pinho Earn All-ACC Honors
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (ACC/SMU) – SMU Men's Soccer seniors Bailey Sparks and Kyran Chambron Pinho earned All-ACC honors as announced by the conference, Wednesday. Sparks earned All-ACC First Team honors, while Chambron Pinho was named All-ACC Third Team.
Sparks earned first-team honors after leading the Mustangs with six goals and six assists through 16 regular season matches. He has a total of eight goals this season after scoring two goals in SMU's first ACC Championship.
The Plano native started in all 18 SMU matches this season and scored three match-winners.
Earlier this year, Sparks was named to the 2024 Hermann Trophy Watch List, which is the nation's highest individual honor recognizing the National Player of the Year. He was among 16 players named to the watch list.
Chambron Pinho earned his All-ACC honors after posting nine goal contributions in 12 regular season match appearances. He has a total of 10 goal contributions with five goals and five assists this season after assisting Sparks to score SMU's first ACC Tournament goal.
The Frankfurt, Germany, native has seven goal involvements from a set-piece this season. The two-time ACC Player of the Week honoree, he has three assists and four goals from a set-piece this season. Three of the goals were from a direct free kick and one from a corner kick.
Sparks and Chambron Pinho combined in the first round of the ACC Championships to score SMU's first ACC tournament goal against Boston College. Chambron Pinho assisted Sparks' header from a corner kick.
The Mustangs finished fourth in the final ACC regular season standings and reached the quarterfinal round in their first ACC Championships campaign.

SMU awaits the reveal of the 48-team NCAA Championships bracket, which is set to be released during the NCAA Selection Show on Monday, Nov. 18. First-round NCAA tournament action will begin on Thursday, Nov. 21.
In the latest NCAA RPI rankings, the Mustangs were ranked 12th through matches played on Nov. 12.
