Men’s soccer nabbed the 12th seed in NCAA tournament. 9 ACC teams were invited.

The ACC had 9 teams make the women's tournament, too ... and ALL 9 won their first-round games.
Some announcers have said winning the ACC is as difficult as winning the NCAA tournament. That can't be true, but the statement doesn't sound as idiotic as it initially did.

SMU advances to the quarterfinals with a 3-1 win at Dayton tonight!

Ponies will host in the Elite 8 against 13th seed Marshall. Time and date tbd.

It's SMU vs Marshall in one / Denver vs Massachusetts in another.

Tomorrow we'll get the final four teams with:
Ohio State taking on Stanford, Clemson taking on Wake Forest, Vermont facing San Diego and Pitt taking on Kansas City

So in theory it could be an All ACC Soccer Cup.

That's exactly what it is on the women's side: Duke vs. UNC and Wake Forest vs. Stanford in the semifinals.

The ACC is the best soccer conference in the country, and it's not close.

3 ACC teams in the elite 8 including SMU, Pitt and Wake Forest. Let's win at least one more to get back to the College Cup.
