Mustangs Reach 12 NCAA B Cuts On Final Day Of SMU Invite
DALLAS (SMU) – The 21st-ranked SMU men's swimming & diving team earned 12 NCAA B Cuts on the final day of the SMU Invite on Saturday at Robson & Lindley Aquatics Center.

In the A final, Jack Berube and Rob McCall both earned B cut times of 1:43.04 and 1:43.75 to place fourth and sixth. Berube's time makes him the sixth-fastest performer in program history.
100 Free
Harold Lockhart became the second-fastest performer in SMU history with a B cut time of 42.73 as
Leif Bouwman (44.19), Kaleb Ikbal (44.85), Connor McClintic (45.10), Graham Hohnbaum (45.46) and Cameron Thompson (45.45) also made appearances in the evening finals.
200 Breast
Three Mustangs earned B Cut times in the event, wi Kristaps Mikelsons also reached the B Cut with a mark of 1:56.77.
200 Fly
Cotton Fields led the Mustangs with a B cut time of 1:43.56 to take second. Nico Sobenes and Ryan Peckham also competed in the A final, touching the wall in 1:45.48 and 1:46.12, respectively, to take fifth and sixth.
400 Free Relay
The Mustangs A relay squad of Sage Sungail, Harold Lockhart, Chris Mykkanen and Lance Butler placed second with a time of 2:51.18. Sungail's leadoff split of 43.12 was a B Cut in the 100 free 4.

The Mustangs return as a team in the new year, where the diving squad will open up 2025 at the Georgia Diving Invitational on January 3-5. The full team will be back in action on January 11 to face top-ranked Texas in Austin.
