As they kick off the 2025 calendar year, Mac Meissner, Harry Higgs and Noah Goodwin all played the Sony in Honolulu this week. Mac's back to back 3 under 67s has him T18 while Noah's even par and Harry's 5 over 36 holes saw them both miss the cut

Mac Meissner's closing round 68 leads to a 10 under and Top 25 finish at the Sony in Hawaii. He finishes T21 and earned $80,088 for the week. Mac was 3 under on his 1st 5 holes today and got to minus 11 that was just 3 shots off the lead before bogeys at 9 & 10 pretty much dropped him out of contention for his 1st PGA Tour win.

Harry, Noah and Mac are all playing the American Express at La Quinta and Harry's opening round 7 under has him T8 while Noah's minus 3 is good for T65. Mac is at minus one and T99

After the 1st 2 rounds of the American Express, Harry is minus 11 and T14, Noah is minus 6 and T58 and Mac sits at minus 4 and T93. This is a little different event in that all players get to play each of the 3 courses and the top 56 and ties get to finish and play for a paycheck. Leaders are at minus 16.

Harry's 2nd round featured an eagle 2 on the 363 yard 12th hole and I just noticed that Mac had taken a quadruple bogey 9 on the 15th hole in his opening round. After that devastating hole, he finished with back to back birdies on 16 & 17 and then started his front nine today with birdie, bogey, birdie bogey before finishing his round with 3 birdies, two of which came on his 16th & 17th holes. Have to give him credit for battling and he is at least within range of making the cut if he can play a strong round tomorrow.

Harry finishes round 3 at 14 under and T17 after closing with birdies at #17 and #18 today. Mac's 5 under round today gets him to 9 under and he just sneaks in under the cut line T58. Noah was at 7 under thru his 1st 5 holes today but then had a roller coaster 4 bogeys against 3 birdies to miss the cut by 3 shots. Sepp Straka is running away from the field at 23 under but Harry is only 5 shots back of 3 guys tied for 2nd

Harry's one over final round drops him to T33 and Mac is 2 over thru 17 so it appears he will finish near the bottom of those who qualified for a check this week

Strong winds forced the 2nd round of the Farmers Open to be delayed and only Mac was able to finish his round. At one over he's on the right side of the cut line but there are several players still on the course including Noah (thru 14) at one under and Harry at 2 over (thru 15).

Harry & Noah both caught a break by not being able to finish in those strong winds yesterday. Both of them picked up another birdie finishing up this morning and for Harry it got him in just under the cut line but it also helped Noah to get within 4 shots of the lead

Noah and Harry are crashing and burning early in their final rounds today. Both are 5 over thru 6 holes. It's early but there are only 3 players with under par rounds going today

Goodwin sort of pulled a Kevin Jennings today as only his second PGA Tour cut made too big of a moment for him, evidently? Tough weather day, but…
