SMU falls to Baylor on Sunday matchup
DALLAS (SMU) – SMU Men's Tennis fell to Baylor 4-2 at the Styslinger / Altec Tennis Complex on Sunday.
The visitors gained early momentum by winning the first three points of the match.
While the Mustangs bounced back by winning the third and fourth singles points, they could not complete the comeback as the Bears took the fifth singles point to clinch the match.
How it Went
The Bears took the doubles point by winning the third and second line of the doubles matches.
Maks Silagy and Jerry Barton held the No. 3 ranked Marko Miladinovic and Oskar Poulsen to an unfinished (3-4) match.
Baylor took the first two points of singles to make it a 3-0 match, but the Mustangs found a little momentum to decrease the deficit to one point.
Louis Cloud won his singles match against Baylor's Louis Bowden (6-3, 7-5) and Ofek Shimanov followed suit with a win over Luc Koenig (6-4, 7-6).
The Bears won their third singles match to clinch the win.
