Quevedo announces signing of Lillian Slušná
DALLAS (SMU) – SMU Women's Swimming and Diving Head Coach Ozzie Quevedo announced the signing of Lillian Slušná to his 2025-26 squad on Wednesday.
Slušná joins the Mustangs from Lučivna, Slovakia. She specializes in sprint freestyle and butterfly.
The Slovakian National Team member is a finalist in the 2024 World Aquatics Short Course Championships and a semifinalist at the 2024 European Aquatics Championships.
Slušná holds the Slovakian national record in the 50 meter free (short course) with a time of 24.42.
Recently, Slušná won the gold medal in the 50 meter fly (26.61) at the German Short Course Championships in November. She won two gold medals, three silver medals and a bronze medal in the championship.
The Mustangs are gearing up for their first Atlantic Coast Conference Championship, Feb. 18-22.
