SMU puts 16 on men's swimming & diving All-ACC Academic team

Mustangs land 16 on men's swim & dive All-ACC Academic team
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC/SMU) – The SMU men's swimming & diving team had 16 athletes named to the All-ACC Academic Team as announced by the conference on Wednesday.
To be included on the list, the student-athlete must have participated in either the ACC Championships and/or the NCAA Championships, while also meeting a 3.0 career GPA and a 3.0 GPA in the most recent semester.
The 16 Mustangs were among 219 total student-athletes named to the list for men's swimming & diving. Nine schools had 16 or more swimmers & divers on the list, with Duke leading the way with a grand total of 22.
This is not the first academic accolades members of the team have picked up this season. In early April, Angus Corbeau, Cotton Fields, Jack Forrest and Eric Stelmar were all named as members of the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, with Stelmar later being voted onto the All-America Team by the organization.
In addition, the program was named as a College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Fall Scholar All-America Team, and Russell Exum earned an ACC Postgraduate Scholarship.
