Top 150 ITF player joins 18th-ranked women's tennis 2025 recruiting class
DALLAS (SMU) – SMU women's tennis head coach Jeff Nevolo announced the signing of standout Allie Bittner from Greenville, South Carolina, to join the Mustangs starting in the fall of 202
Bittner was ranked No. 1 in the state of South Carolina and BlueChip Recruit, ranked as high as No. 18 nationally by Tennis Recruiting.
Reaching as high as No. 132 in the ITF junior ranking and No. 485 in the ITF pro rankings, Bittner holds a 17.56 world tennis number in singles and 23.31 in doubles.
Bittner has won three singles championships and two doubles championships during her junior world tennis tour career. Her strongest tournament to date was the J100 singles and doubles tournament in Auckland, New Zealand, where she won titles in both events. In her ITF junior career, she also competed in the 2024 Junior Australian Open and the 2023 Junior Indian Wells Open.
"We can't wait to have Allie join us," said head coach Jeff Nevolo. "Her experience playing on the ITF junior tour, playing in the Australian Open juniors, and now playing pro events will help us tremendously. She is really solid on the court, but more importantly, she is a great student and person. We are thrilled for her to be a Mustang."
