Thanks. Can someone take picture for us out of towners?

For an old timer who has a memory that tends to lapse, I am trying to remember which one is (was) Letterman's. Is it the old one that is diagonal from the outdoor pool and across from the track? The one that is on the narrow alley that leads up to Moody? If that is it, it is the one that we had the athletic dining hall in when I was there. Just trying to get a picture of which building it is.

Yes. It was the building just north of the track across the alley and next to the SAE house.

I took a picture on Sunday after church. I haven't uploaded it to my computer, but when I do, I'll post it. I'm an avid scrapbooker and plan on scrapping a photo of me in front of Letterman my freshman year and the photo I took on Sunday. Change is Inevitable.

Bitter sweet. As a swimmer, I ate my meals in the basement of Letterman Hall for four years. Remember welcoming Jerry Levias in the in 1965.
Good old memories, but it needed to go. The new campus needs the Master Plan to develop and be rolled out successfully. SMU is quite a jewel.
And, yes, Letterman just east of the pool, across the street. BTW, the baseball field was south of Letterman at the time, before Westcott Field was built.

I "assume" somebody got the sign to the left of the front door: "LETTERMEN HALL" - to be displayed in Heritage Hall --- always wondered why it was LETTERMEN HALL and not LETTERMAN or LETTERMEN'S - maybe a typo on the signmakers' part (and it stuck) or it was a 40s thing.

I am shocked that somebody in the athletic department had the foresite to do that.
