A buddy of mine worked on th show right out of college (SMU)..... I wonder if he still works for the show. I haven't spoken to him in years.

'Contestants' (?) from my alma mater and adopted alma mater have appeared on Big Brother. I wish they hadn't. That show is pathetic.

If I remember correctly, the guy that won the very first season went to school at UTA. He was on their wheelchair basketball team.

Nope. Looked it up after I posted. The guy that won was some dude named Eddie McGee. Here's an article about his win.
