Las Vegas Restaurant Suggestions Needed

Postby Mustang98 » Thu Oct 16, 2008 1:12 am

Hello Fellow Ponyfans,

I am helping to plan my brother-in-law's bachelor party in Las Vegas. One of the things I am in charge of is the Saturday dinner. I am having a tough time since I have only been to Las Vegas once and that was some time ago. We are looking for something that is nice (not touristy) and we are trying to stay away from steak houses (brother in law is a vegetarian). I would greatly appreciate some suggestions if any of you have been there recently.

Also, any golf courses in Las Vegas you all can recommend?

Vegas has the BEST collection of restaurants in the US...although not the original locations, etc.

one good place.... bouchon (http://www.bouchonbistro.com/)

Check the menu to see if it works for yall
It tastes better when served from a Bowl (game)!

As far as food, it depends on what you want to accomplish with the dinner. If you are talking about private party with strippers and loud music, etc. I do not know. If you are talking about a meal where everyone can have whatever they prefer and as much of it as possible, then the Spice Market Buffet at Planet Hollywood can not be beat.

I can not imagine a bad golf course in Vegas.

There was a good Mexican food restaurant that my friends and I ate at for my birthday a couple of months ago. It was in Planet Hollywood. It might not be as nice as you are looking for, but I thought it was pretty nice.

The Palms has some good restaurants as well. Little Buddha has a great atmosphere and the food is really good.

And if you are into the club scene at all, I would recommend the Playboy club and Moon at The Palms. They are connected, but have totally different atmospheres, which may appeal to more people in your party.

MGM Grand also has an [deleted] load of decent restaurants so you probably couldn't go wrong by just heading in that direction.

Piero's, for the true Vegas mafia experience. Not sure if it is still there, but one of the private dining rooms used to have a huge print of Jerry Tarkanian on the wall. Good stuff. Seriously, the food is amazingly good. It is where I celebrated my 21st birthday. http://www.pieroscuisine.com/index.htm

I agree with FWMustang Girl. Piero's is a great place. A combination of great food, and old school Vegas. Be sure to go to the location on Convention Center Drive. The restaruant scenes from the movie Casino were filmed at Piero's.

Thank you Mustang Nation for the suggestions. With all this input, I should be able to make a good choice.

I like BATTISTA'S HOLE IN THE WALL. It's an Italian place right behind the Flamingo. Their All-Inclusive dinner comes with All You Can Drink Wine.
