Celebration of Lights

Postby SMUPhil » Tue Dec 15, 2009 10:12 am

Found this on youtube. This is one of the campus-wide traditions that SMU does very well. I loved going to this as a student. Also neat to see student-run singing groups, I thought the "Southern Gentlemen" were pretty good. I don't remember any acapella groups when I was there, but it's a pretty big deal at a lot of schools.

By the way, when the gospel choir starts singing, you can see one of the wreaths fall off the door of Dallas Hall, ha!

I took relatives up Bishop last year to show off Dallas Hall and half the lights were out on the columns. I know classes were out, but there weren't any full-time maintenance people there to fix the burnt out bulbs?
